Symposium on Political Thought

The Symposium on Political Thought is an interdisciplinary discussion group devoted to the classics of political thought, including, in recent years, the works of Rousseau, Montesquieu, Tocqueville, and the American Founders. All members of the BGSU community are welcome. In recent years faculty and students from the departments of  Criminal Justice, Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology have participated.

This semester, the Social Philosophy and Policy Center, in cooperation with the Department of Political Science, continues the symposium on political thought for interested faculty and students of all disciplines. The sessions are informal and always involve a lively interchange of ideas. The group meets approximately every other week throughout the academic year.
