The Center welcomes applications from scholars in a wide range of disciplines including philosophy, political science, history, law, and economics. Our visiting scholars have included both promising junior scholars with academic appointments and established senior scholars who have come from England, Europe, Canada, and Australia as well as the United States.
Stipendiary appointments are typically for one term: either the fall or spring semester of the academic year, or for the summer term. Candidates may be considered for academic year appointments, especially when they are on sabbatical.
Scholars interested in applying to the visiting scholar program are encouraged to make contact with the Associate Director of the Center as far in advance of the proposed starting time as possible. Please send a description of the project you would be working on during your stay along with a copy of your vita and some samples of previous work to:
